Nearly 20,000 middle and high school students participated in the 2012 Illinois Youth Survey (IYS) – a state wide survey with questions about drugs, nutrition and their community. 54% of Lake County municipalities were represented by 68% of the county’s middle schools and 71% of the county’s high schools. We recently attended an excellent informative program put on by the Robert Crown Center on Heroin in the local communities. The event was sponsored by Congressman Dold, School Districts 125, 128, 214, and the Lake County Regional Office of Education.
